Managing/Senior Consultant - Business
Intelligence and Scorecards
Position Overview:
The individual that we are seeking will develop and manage consulting
services utilizing performance management methodology developed by members of
the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative. She/he will provide leadership,
simultaneously to multiple engagement teams who are supporting our clients
through the Scorecard Development Program. This structured approach to Scorecard
development and implementation planning includes defining the financial
objectives and key themes, identifying cause and effect linkages among strategic
objectives and defining measures that inform the leadership team of their
progress and implementing their strategy and educational concept development.
Working closely with the Collaborative professionals and client executives, the
Manager will provide the on-the-ground leadership and expertise required to
realize substantial improvements to organizational performance made possible
through the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative approach.
The mission of a Manager is to lead client engagements by directing overall
project execution and building relationships within the account. This includes
leading the project team(s) by managing the project budget and schedule and
guiding the conceptual content of meetings and deliverables. In addition, the
Manager serves as the primary contact for the client, helps to sell follow-on
work within existing accounts, and markets Scorecard Services to prospective
clients. Regarding practice development, the Manager observes and evaluates
Balanced Scorecard methodology in practice, captures and codifies new
methodologies, identifies and bridges service offerings, and communicates
practice and methodology development opportunities within the company.
Qualifications:
- Desire to join a fast growing, entrepreneurial business.
- Possess 1-2 years of credible business experience, preferably in
management consulting or equivalent multi-client consulting environment,
with balanced skills in general problem solving, concept development, and
project leadership.
- Have outstanding facilitation skills, memorable in-person presentation
abilities, be politically astute, and have the client focus necessary to
achieve an effective partnering relationship with a client.
- Project Management Skills (2 years experience)
- Experience with Balanced Scorecard and/or other performance management
methodology is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability in client relationship management and add-on
business development
- Be comfortable working with unstructured and at times ambiguous
approaches to problem solving, the identification of solutions, and have an
intuitive ability to incorporate disparate ideas into simple but provocative
concepts.
- On a more personal level, the right candidate will be results driven,
persistent, flexible, and persuasive.
- Self-starter/pro-active, strong entrepreneurial spirit, flexible to
changing priorities, excellent time management skills and ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with implementation methodologies
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to build and
deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain
complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language
- Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
- Microsoft Business Scorecard Manager 2005 a plus
- Microsoft PerformancePoint Server 2007 as plus
- Microsoft SQL Server (1-2 years experience)
- Microsoft Project (1-2 years experience)
- Microsoft certifications a plus (i.e. MCDBA, MCAD, MCSD, MCSE,
etc.).
- MUST have a technical background.
