Director of Professional Services, Business Intelligence
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with senior management and our President, provide leadership, creativity and a strong vision for business intelligence strategies and solutions to our enterprise customer base.
- Define, develop, collaborate and lead the effort for existing and new client strategies and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies that enable continuous quality and productivity improvement.
- Collaborate across teams as needed to deliver innovative and high quality solutions in a timely and a cost effective manner.
- Provide guidance and best practice knowledge to build project discipline and consistency across the Extended Results project portfolio
- Build strong working relationships with various cross functional groups throughout the company and work closely with senior management to implement programs and planning.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and ensure accountability for a core team of senior PMs and technical staff driving towards the successful completion of defined consulting projects/SOWs.
- Work directly with our Director of Technical Recruiting to continuously ensure optimum return on investment from a cost basis, but more importantly, to ensure the quality of new hires, assist with resource allocation and resolution of resource conflicts with a high degree of professionalism.
- Understand the overall business and strategic initiative goals as well as the timelines of those goals. Develop efficient and reliable metrics for measuring program and project progress towards those goals.
- Provide and manage an inspiring process for optimum team structure with a clear ability to define the career growth and path for each individual within your reporting accountability – including quarterly and annual evaluations.
- Consistent participation in networking organizations, developer user groups, events, and a general inspirational industry attitude is required when possible.
- Work with the Director of Enterprise Sales in a “pre-sales” capacity and as a value-add to our customers as a member of the management team
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Professional services consulting experience – preferably within IT with an emphasis on Business Intelligence/Analytics.
- A minimum of 8 years related IT professional services experience is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of “verifiable” management experience.
- Extensive experience with large-scale enterprise wide project and program management delivery on time (or under budget) with a strong track record of driving profitability and bottom line revenue; including skills and in depth understanding of project management methodology, project management planning, issue tracking and reporting, processes for estimation, risk management, etc.
- Results oriented and possess excellent analytical, facilitation and strategic planning skills.
- Strong understanding and ability to provide QA reviews on projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to be influential with a trusting nature.
- Professional, dedicated and detail oriented.
- As a member of the management team, possess a natural ability to keep a positive attitude and provide leadership on a high level company-wide.
