Account Executive/Business Development - Consulting Services
Position Overview:
This is a full time business development and account management position reporting to the President of the company. The primary responsibility is to generate and close new business through prospecting, presenting, negotiating, signing and developing new business through IT staff augmentation and business intelligence project services. This is a “HUNTING” position and requires the ability to cold call and network within the industry for new opportunities.
We are seeking candidates that have 2 - 5 years of successful sales experience with strong interpersonal skills. They should be able to identify, develop, and close business with new clientele, consistently meeting and exceeding quota. Ability to secure signed contracts, leverage information obtained by Extended Results consultants in client engagements; maintain a high activity level for cold calling, meetings, and client visits; and write and deliver proposals and respond to RFQ’s and RFP’s. Strong communication skills are required to effectively utilize a collaboration approach with Extended Results and client resources, expressing concepts and ideas clearly. While account management skills are necessary, this is a sales execution position; therefore “Hunting skills” are required. The candidate is required to have experience in the technology and IT staff augmentation space.
Qualifications:
- Identifying and prospecting to generate a minimum number of qualified leads.
- Effectively qualify leads by determining prospect’s budget and needs.
- Ability to present a compelling company value proposition to C-level executives, listening to prospective client’s needs and assisting in the development of client requirements.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers & partners.
- Proven ability to take a business relationship through the entire business cycle from initial contact to closing the contract.
- Presenting service offerings and staff augmentation solutions, effectively articulating key benefits.
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in order to take advantage of business opportunities.
- Negotiating and closing quality business, achieving minimum margins.
- Further penetrating existing accounts to position and sell additional services.
- Extensive contact list in the Pacific Northwest.
- Must be confident, enthusiastic, motivated, committed, hardworking, creative, innovative, fair and practical.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills to business and technical audiences at Manager and Director level.
- You MUST know how to sell technology consulting services.
Salary:
- Full time
- Salary done on entry and based on experience
- Bonus available
The compensation package is competitive and is based on a reward for performance structure. The package consists of a base salary ranging from $65 to $85K, depending on experience, and commissions. There are accelerators and bonus incentives for successful achievement.
